Ever since Trafalgar Square was fully pedestrianised, this Trafalgar Square Festival has filled the area with a programme of music, theatre, dance and art throughout most of the month of August, giving yet another reason for London visitors to come along and enjoy this unusual open space at the very heart of the city.

Over the course of three weeks, events take place at regular times daily from Thursday to Sunday inclusive and the programme varies from day to day to keep up interest and display London's culture at its very best. Trafalgar Square is noted as the home of the National Gallery, Nelson's Column, the pigeons and is a focal point in the capital - in easy walking distance of many major sights - for meeting up, so it is easy also to take the chance to spend a little longer and enjoy whatever may be taking place at the time you are there.
