The London Film Festival is now in its 52nd year and grows year on year with the British Film Institute Southbank and cinemas across central London hosting the event. In addition to being the focus of a few major film releases and premieres, gala films and a number of major celebrity events, the London Film Festival continues its effort to dedicate a significant proportion of time to independent film makers, foreign language films and documentary film.

Fans of the silver screen - whatever their main area of interest - will find films aplenty in a rich, star studded programme. For the period of the London Film Festival, it seems that the whole city buzzes with talk of cinema and this year will certainly be no different.
