Kenwood House Picnic ConcertsKenwood House is a truly lovely stately home set on the north end of Hampstead Heath, which fans of the film "Notting Hill" will instantly recognise as one of the film's settings. Benefiting from its own lake and a really superb view of the Heath and across the whole of central London, it is an excellent choice of settings for the Music on a Summer Evening series - one of London's less well known musical events, which features artists of considerable renown over the month of August. Those coming to the events, which take place around sunset, are encouraged to take a place on the lawn in front of kenwood House, with that magnificent vista in front and enjoy the event with a picnic and champagne. Some of artists and dates are:

2nd August: Michael Ball and Lesley Garrett - two very popular singers of different styles and backgrounds who will perform a variety of songs from West End shows, past and current, along with operatic arias.

9th August: Diana Krall - a jazz musician with truly mass appeal, she leads a group the includes bassist John Clayton, drummer Jeff Hamilton and guitarist Anthony Wilson.

16th August: Van Morrison - the rock'n roll legend rolls on with a huge repertoire from the solo albums he has release almost annually since 1968.

23rd August: Katherine Jenkins - one of the UK's best known opera stars performing songs from her bestselling albums.
