Boris Godunov at the London Coliseum is a major new production of Musorgsky's version that has never been professionally performed in English.

Considered a masterpiece, Boris Godunov is Mussorgsky's only completed opera, based on the drama by Aleksandr Pushkin. ENO Music Director Edward Gardner together with Tim Albery took a challenge to reproduce murder and skullduggery among the ruling elite in 16th century Russia, where Russian ruler Boris Godunov reigns as Tsar.

The London Coliseum will invite to Boris Godunov this November and December. Talented performers will include Peter Rose as Boris Godunov, the Tsar who descends into madness and death, John Graham-Hall as Prince Skuisky, David Stephenson as Andrei Shchelkalov, Brindley Sherratt as Pimen and others.
