PRISONERS OF THE TOWER

Running until 5 September, this exhibition tells the story of The Tower of London"s many famous prisoners, from Ann Boleyn, Princess Elizabeth and Lady Jane Grey, to Walter Raleigh, Guy Fawkes and Rodolf Hess. Understand its role as a prison, with its tale of torture, murder and execution. Nearest tube, Tower Hill, www.hrp.org.uk.

EASTER EGG HUNT

Combine a family visit to the Tower of London with an Easter Egg Hunt at Tower Bridge next door. ART AT ITS BEST

Don"t miss two exciting new exhibitions: Truth to Nature - Pre-Raphaelite Vision, running at Tate Britain until 3 May, is devoted to landscape paintings by among others, John Everett Millais, Holman Hunt and Ford Maddox Brown. El Greco at The National Gallery is the first major exhibition of his works in Great Britain (running to 23 May).
