London Battersea Park

Battersea Park London

Battersea Park is one of London's liveliest parks situated south of Marble Arch. Ideal for family retreat, this park offers many entertainment options for children. The small ones can visit the children's zoo, playground or the art gallery while their parents can choose from sport options - tennis courts, running track are all there. One of the park highlights is the Peace Pagoda, built by Buddhist monks and nuns, where ceremonies are held daily. The Peace Mile that runs alongside the pagoda is favourite with joggers and the Pump House is now a small art gallery and shop.

Battersea Park also has a rich wildlife: ducks, herons, cormorants and grebes are just a few of them. The park also has over 4000 trees, some of which are record breakers and date back to the original layout of 1858.The area also has some major landmarks nearby. Should you decide to try something really exceptional, bungee jump tower is close to the park in Battersea Wharf. The tower is 300ft over the river Thames and if you prefer not to jump, you can still ride on the platform for some great views. To book your jump in advance (recommended) or for further information, telephone +44 (0)20 7720 9496.
