RAF Museum

Although the Royal Air Force Museum in London is slightly out of the track from the major London attractions, it is absolutely worth to visit the unique London Aerodrome if aviation is your obsession or field of interest.

The RAF Museum in London was started in November 1972 by Her Majesty The Queen. Situated on 15 acres of the previous Hendon Aerodrome at RAF Hendon, one of the oldest aviation centres in the country, the London Royal Air Force Museum gives an insight into the history of aviation.

The skies have always been a charming thing, no doubt, the movies like The Pearl Harbour or The Aviator got so famous. Apparently, with lots of things modified these movies do not symbolize the actual films of that era. The RAF Museum in London is a good opportunity to find out extra regarding the history of aviation and is good for basic knowledge. The unique aircraft are presented with the characteristics of the USA, Germany, Japan and France.

The Royal Air Force Museum in London has also started two latest exhibition halls in tribute to its 100th anniversary, as a result of which there is a lot to see.

The Aircrafts collection at the London RAF Museum displays more than 90 significant aircraft wrapping the entire span of the initial 100 years of aviation growth. The places of interest comprise the Milestones of Flight Collection that wraps the immense accomplishments in the initial 100 years of power-driven flight, and in particular the main effort made by the Royal Air Force Museum.

The Royal Air Force Museum is a great place to visit and gain some invaluable insight into the world of aviation.
